CAE Defence & Security Appoints New MD

Recently, Thibaut Trancart was appointed to the position of Managing Director (MD), CAE Defence & Security for the Middle East region, reporting directly to Marc-Olivier Sabourin, Vice President, Defence & Security International, CAE.
As the new Managing Director, Thibaut will be based in Abu Dhabi and will be responsible for overseeing CAE’s Defence & Security team in the Middle East and guide them in meeting the business and growth objectives of the region. Thibaut will focus on strengthening relationships with governments in the region as well as key original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to further develop CAE’s pipeline of opportunities and position the company to win new business in the Middle East.
CAE Middle East is focused on serving Defence Forces and Governmental customers within the region. Leveraging the full breadth of CAE’s global capabilities and leading-edge simulation technologies, CAE Middle East brings proven solutions and expert knowledge to the Middle East market and surrounding regions. The company has developed training systems for a number of military customers in the region.
Prior to joining CAE, Thibaut held various positions within Thales over the past 20 years. 
Sabourin said: “I am convinced Thibaut will effectively support the growth plans of the Middle East region for CAE so please join me in congratulating him for his new role and wishing him the best success.”
