Fahad Al Mheiri to lead Raytheon Emirates as Managing Director
Raytheon Emirates Limited, a Raytheon Technologies subsidiary headquartered in Abu Dhabi, announced the appointment of Fahad Mohammed Al Mheiri as managing director.
Al Mheiri, who previously served as deputy managing director of Raytheon Emirates, will oversee Raytheon Emirates' defense localization, foster the business's long-standing relationships with the UAE's defense ecosystem, and build local expertise, partnerships, and capabilities.
“From 1987 when the very first Hawk systems were delivered to the UAE, Raytheon has been a strong strategic partner of the Emirates,” said Al Mheiri. “I look forward to building on the company’s enduring relationship with the UAE by ensuring Raytheon Emirates plays a growing role in the defense community to meet the country’s current and future needs - both in terms of Emirati talent development and ‘made in the UAE’ aerospace and defense solutions.”
“Raytheon Emirates is committed to providing defense capabilities, developing the UAE’s defense industry, and focusing on local manufacturing and joint development with the country’s defense and manufacturing eco-system,” said Roy Donelson, Chief Executive of Raytheon MENA. “Fahad's knowledge of the industry and understanding of the complexities of the defense business will help the organization realize its commitments, working closely with our partners in the UAE, to localize and strengthen indigenous capability.”
Before joining Raytheon Emirates, Al Mheiri worked for the United Arab Emirates Space Agency (UAESA) as the acting executive director of the UAE Space Sector and the Emirates Defense Industries Company as the executive director of commercial development (EDIC).
