Diehl Defence and TAUBER Join Forces
Diehl Defence GmbH & Co KG and TAUBER Holding Germany GmbH recently established a joint venture, TD Services GmbH. Both shareholders hold a 50 per cent share of the company, with TAUBER assuming the industrial lead. In July, the setting up was approved by the responsible cartel authority.The joint venture of both shareholders will, among other things, expand the companies’ capacities in ammunition disposal, logistics, and inventory management.
While Diehl Defence is a leading supplier of air defence systems, missiles, and various other military effectors, TAUBER is a leading specialist in explosive ordnance clearance. As the prime contractor, TAUBER offers a range of capabilities, from aerial photo analysis to explosive ordnance disposal.
Helmut Rauch, CEO of Diehl Defence, explained: “With the establishment of the joint venture, we create an ideal complement between our specialist knowledge gained over decades in ammunition manufacturing and TAUBER’s extensive experience in ammunition disposal and logistics.”
The strategic partnership between Diehl Defence and TAUBER strengthens the industrial basis for realising the intended production expansion, for example, by acquiring warehouse, logistics, and elaboration capacities. In addition, the joint venture enables Diehl Defence to offer its customers an overall range of capabilities along the value chain.
