Dubai Unveils Grand Plans for 23rd Airport Show

Dubai is gearing up for the 23rd Airport Show, the largest annual exhibition dedicated to the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region’s airports industry, scheduled from May 14 to May 16, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Show will bring together the world’s leading airport suppliers and service providers, as well as aviation leaders and regional decision-makers to showcase the latest innovations and technologies in the industry.

The event’s theme will be “Sustainability and Innovation,” reflecting the industry’s focus on embracing cutting-edge technology and greener initiatives to drive growth and efficiency.

The exhibition will feature four concurrent events: the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Forum, Airport Security Middle East, Global Airport Leaders’ Forum (GALF), and the Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter Conference.

ATC Forum gives solution and service providers the chance to connect with top-level decision-makers from airports, civil and military aviation authorities and government institutions, helping them find the optimal solution to their ongoing challenges.
Airport Security Middle East (Airport Security ME) also allows vendors to present innovative solutions for securing airports.
GALF 2024 will see renowned experts and officials talking about a variety of topics of crucial importance in the global aviation industry.

Women in Aviation - Middle East is a nonprofit association dedicated to encouraging women in the Middle East to seek opportunities in the aviation industry. WAI-ME started in 2013 and continues to grow year after year.

B2B platform
More than 200 exhibitors from over 20 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition. It will feature six country pavilions and over 150 buyers from more than 20 countries. The B2B platform will witness 3,500-plus meetings in its popular Business Connect Programme.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, patron of the event, said: “Airport Show presents a tremendous opportunity for stakeholders within the regional aviation ecosystem to convene, collaborate and solidify a roadmap for an innovation and sustainability-driven future. Through the event, Dubai has provided an excellent B2B platform in the last two decades and has remained a driving force for the industry. The annual event serves as an innovation hub and a platform for the stakeholders to align fully with regional demands, emerging industry trends and the vision of the leadership to ensure the region retains and consolidates its leading position for growth, investment and innovation in aviation.”

Varied Topics
The four in-event networking and knowledge-sharing platforms will be Innovation Trail, Sustainable Apron, Start-up Zone and Youth in Aviation, along with an equal number of co-located events.
The exhibition will host 60 speakers covering various aviation topics, such as Sustainability at Airports, Passenger Experience, Ground Handling, Airport Security, and Air Traffic Management. With over 30 conference sessions, attendees can explore these subjects in depth.

Leading global suppliers will showcase advanced airport technology, innovations, and solutions at this mega event. It offers industry stakeholders firsthand insights into emerging aviation trends, networking opportunities with global leaders, and access to cutting-edge technologies meeting passenger expectations.

Organised by RX, a London-based company hosting 400+ events in 22 countries across 42 sectors, this exhibition will host 6,000+ aviation decision-makers and professionals. RX is part of RELX, a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers.

Prominent figures in the regional aviation sector and long-standing partners of the Airport Show, including the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects, Emirates Airline and Group, Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans), and DNATA, will continue their unwavering support for this iconic event.

The Airport Show and its co-located events have garnered collective endorsement from the regional aviation community. This support underscores the commitment to advancing airport transformation, enhancing passenger satisfaction, ensuring safety and security, and streamlining the flying experience.

Officials are optimistic that the event will promote increased collaboration among aviation industry stakeholders, including airports, airlines, and Air Navigation Service Providers.

At the 2023 edition of the event, the Sustainable Apron took a leap forward, showcasing an even more substantial and advanced array of ground support equipment (GSE) and cutting-edge technologies. These innovations have a profound positive impact on environmental efficiency and sustainability practices at airports.
