Elettronica Group Launches New Company

Elettronica SpA has acquired 70 per cent of EltHub, a new company created with G&A Engineering Srl, following the transfer of the latter’s strategic assets. The new company aims to enhance its presence in the defence, security, and civil sectors. Strongly oriented toward research and development, EltHub is looking forward to facing new challenges and new markets, a company statement said.

EltHub will have a new corporate structure with Eng. Marco Giordano as General Director, Amaury Choppin as chairman, and Lorenzo Benigni and Giorgia Pontetti as members of the board of directors.

“For Electronica, a company with 70 years of experience in the electromagnetic spectrum domain and a consolidated heritage in the cyber and homeland security fields, EltHub forms part of our Tenet 2030 strategic plan.

This will see us engaged over the next 10 years in meeting the company’s strategic objectives, which focus on further innovation of our products and services, including integrating electronic warfare with the cyber and space domains. It will also see our expansion towards new regions and the company’s entry into new competitive markets, like medical and critical infrastructures.

In this sense, the acquisition also strengthens the sustainability of our corporate value proposition,” highlighted Enzo Benigni, Elettronica’s chief executive officer and president.

G&A Engineering’s contribution to EltHub focuses on expertise and products supporting the electronics, space, defence, automotive, industrial and electromedical sectors, together with specific expertise in applied research in microelectronics for space and military applications. The company also has expertise in fields such as hydroponic greenhouses, 3D food printers, and cyber resilience systems.

EltHub enjoys total production independence with a mechanical workshop, a production line for the construction and testing of electronic boards and a certified high-performance cleanroom that meets class 10 (ISO 4) standards. All these features give EltHub unique capabilities helping it become the point of reference within the Elettronica Group.

Elettronica SpA is among the world leaders in the electronic defence sector. It currently supplies over 3,000 systems to the governments of 30 countries on five continents and is involved in several major European defence programmes, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft. Elettronica combines Italian excellence with a global vision with representative offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Moreover, the company voluntarily invests around 13 million euros annually in R&D.
