Ammroc: UAE’s Long Term Strategic Partner
Ammroc, which supports the UAE Air Force and Air Defence with nose to tail maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in airframes, engines, and components through a stringent Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) programme, is participating at the show in a big way. The company is a subsidiary of EDGE. It is the only independent third party MRO globally to undertake a fleet wide PBL programme of such a scale.
“For UAE Armed Forces, we are a strategic partner, not just a short-term tactical option. Being the anchor military MRO entity in the UAE, we aim to further fulfil the needs of UAE Armed Forces and regional operators by enhancing our capability and capacity at our upcoming Al Ain MRO complex,” Tim German, Ammroc’s Chief Commercial Officer told Nation Shield.
On the products and services featured, he said: “Ammroc’s experience spans across 35 plus aircraft platform types for both rotary and fixed wing. Through its state-of-the-art facility at MRO Al Ain (MRO AA), Ammroc will be delivering the most advanced, military MRO services in the region.
“At Dubai Airshow, our aim is to showcase to our customers the depth and breadth of our upcoming MRO Al Ain complex capability (though a scaled model) along with its niche capabilities for the region. We also have stationed aircraft models across transport, fighter and rotary wing platform types to further strengthen our message on the wide service offerings across multiple platform types.”
He said the UAE Armed Forces is Ammroc’s primary focus followed by Dubai Air Wing, Police Air Wing and other Paramilitary Air Wing within the country while the international market includes regional countries in South Asia, Middle East and North Africa (SAMENA).
He said Ammroc’s core strength includes nose to tail Black Hawk capability with dynamic blade testing (whirl stand), which is unique in the region.
Ammroc boasts an extensive hangarage covering 36,500 square metres for multi-purpose as well as special projects (e.g., ITAR, EAR segregation), which is complemented with an advanced paint facility. “We are currently the only C-130 (B through H models) Hercules Service Centre in the MENA region and the only third party MRO entity globally to execute National Air Force fleet wide PBL programme.”
