What is Rockwell Collins’ strategy in the Middle East?
Rockwell Collins is committed to the Middle East and to growing its investment, presence and contribution to the region. We are already a leading supplier in military and commercial avionics.
We see opportunities for many of our solutions, including network enabled communications, tactical data links, advanced targeting systems, avionics for manned and unmanned aircraft, and mobile solutions for border security. With Rockwell Collins, our customers in the Middle East gain interoperability with coalition forces thanks to proven systems, solutions and life cycle support.
Does Rockwell Collins plan to expand its existing presence in the Middle East?
Rockwell Collins in the Middle East offers all the breadth and depth of our products and capabilities, customized to meet the needs of local customers. Present in the region for 20 years, we employ around 300 people throughout the Middle East.
We have expanded our efforts in the Middle East with the establishment of our regional headquarter in Dubai,the opening of our UAE office in Abu Dhabi and soon our KSA office in Riyadh.
We plan to grow these facilities over the next five years, providing more jobs to the local economy. These facilities already house business development functions and program management, and related support activities and will quickly be complemented by the addition of systems engineering for many of our company’s core applications. We are also looking at expanding our presence through strategic partnerships and additional Rockwell Collins offices in region.

In addition, our Service Solutions organization delivers Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of Rockwell Collins and non-Rockwell Collins products, as well as performance based logistics, public-private partnerships, global asset management and other programs we tailor to meet customers’ needs in the region.
