UAE, Egypt airdrop tenth humanitarian aid batch in Gaza under Birds of Goodness
On the seventh day of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence has announced the completion of the tenth airdrop of humanitarian and relief aid by the UAE Air Force and the Egyptian Air Force in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of the "Birds of Goodness" operation.
Joint teams from both countries carried out the operation using aircraft carrying about 33 tonnes of food and medical aid, bringing the total to 438 tonnes since the operation's launch.
Operation "Birds of Goodness" is part of the “Chivalrous Knight 3” humanitarian operation, which was launched in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
This assistance is facilitated through collaborative endeavours of charitable organisations in the UAE, including the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and other philanthropic entities, with the aim of extending humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
