ADIHEX 2023 Gears Up for Spectacular Gallop

With 86 per cent of the show space already booked, preparations are in full swing for the 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2023), which is scheduled to take place from September 2-8, 2023, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

The rush for bookings is not surprising, given the event’s popularity and reputation as one of the largest hunting fairs in the world.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, Abu Dhabi, ADIHEX 2023 is expected to bring together over 150,000 attendees.

Rewarding Experience
The Higher Organising Committee had recently announced a slight adjustment to the schedule of the upcoming exhibition.

The highly anticipated event will take place from September 2 as a result of careful consideration by the committee. This decision was made with the aim of maximising the exhibition’s impact and creating an immersive and rewarding experience for exhibitors and visitors hailing from various parts of the globe.

By allowing a few additional days for preparations, the organisers intend to deliver a comprehensive showcase that meets and exceeds the expectations of all participants.

The exhibition attracts interested local and international enthusiasts, who are decision-makers with high purchasing power, and those who prioritise environmental, cultural, and heritage values, authentic sports, and sustainable hunting.

ADIHEX is experiencing an extraordinary growth this year, surpassing expectations with an impressive surge in Emirati, Arab, and international participation.

Registrations are said to be pouring in across all 11 sectors of the event. There is a strong anticipation of achieving a record-breaking participation rate as the exhibition’s management continues to receive stand booking requests from renowned exhibitors and esteemed brands specialising in the hunting and equestrian industry, representing various continents worldwide.

11 Diverse Sectors
ADIHEX includes 11 diverse sectors: Arts and Crafts, Equestrian, Falconry, Hunting Tourism and Safari, Hunting and Camping Equipment, Hunting and Shooting Sports Guns and Equipment, Preservation of Environment and Cultural Heritage, Outdoor Leisure Vehicle and Equipment, Veterinary Products and Services, Fishing equipment and Marine Sports, and the last but not the least, Media.

Several interactive digital services and promotional benefits were announced through the official website to ensure a smooth and exceptional experience for all exhibitors.

The exhibition will be held over a period of seven days for the third time in its history, in response to the demands of both visitors and exhibitors.

Local, regional, and international companies have praised this qualitative shift within the exhibition development strategy, reflecting the increasing public turnout, and meeting the aspirations of falconry, hunting, equestrian and heritage enthusiasts.

The Higher Organising Committee highlighted the crucial role of exhibitors and visitors in fostering the growth and ongoing success of the event on both regional and global levels.
Exhibitors, sponsors, and supporters unanimously emphasised the significance of participating in the show.

This platform not only enables them to achieve exceptional sales records but also facilitates the exchange of experiences and ideas, assists meetings with partners and customers, promotes business deals, and cultivates strong and enduring business relationships.

Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ADIHEX and Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, emphasised that the next edition would witness the presence of many new products, innovations, and features that meet the aspirations of exhibitors and visitors interested in the sectors of the largest hunting, equestrian, and heritage preservation exhibition in the Middle East and Africa.

A Reborn Aspiration”, with the official sponsorship of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, the International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC), and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

These partnerships enhance the overall visitor experience, offering unique insights and enriching opportunities to engage with the cultural heritage and practices associated with falconry and desert physiognomy.

Previous Edition
The previous edition witnessed the participation of over 900 companies and brands from 58 countries. Spanning across an expansive area of over 60,000 square metres, the exhibition provided a platform for these participants to showcase the latest technologies, innovations, and trends in the falconry, hunting, and equestrian industry.

The event catered to the diverse interests of approximately 150,000 visitors, offering a wide array of products and services, including hunting and camping equipment, accessories, falconry tools, and a blend of traditional and modern hunting methods.

The previous edition hosted 127 speakers who participated in presenting their techniques, skills, visions, and professional experience through 134 specialised workshops that represented a source of knowledge, awareness, and a means for business success and development. The workshops were categorised into four educational platforms: sustainability, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and connect with nature.

More than 100 live performances of birds of prey, Salukis, and police dogs (K9) were also held, along with exciting heritage and sports shows that enhanced the exhibition’s attractiveness, in addition to educational activities and innovative artistic, cultural, and scientific competitions which attracted hundreds of competitors.

Falcon Auction
In the past, falconers from the UAE and the region used to travel abroad to purchase falcons from private farms in Europe and America. However, the exhibition now provides them with an ideal international platform in Abu Dhabi to buy and sell the best-produced falcons from the world’s top falcon breeding farms.

The Falcon Auction is one of the most attractive events for falconers and enthusiasts at the exhibition, which is considered a valuable opportunity for companies operating in the falconry sector, as well as for owners of falcon breeding farms and centres that produce the finest and best falcons .
