Gearing up for IDEX/NAVDEX

More than 1300 exhibitors and 150,000 visitors expected

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2017) and the Naval Defence Exhibition and Conference (NAVDEX 2017) are expected to be the largest ever this year, with more than 1300 exhibitors and a record-breaking number of visitors expected to pass through the doors of the ADNEC exhibition centre between 19-23 February, 2017.

In collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces, IDEX 2017 and NAVDEX 2017 run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

More than 1,200 exhibitors and 101,000 visitors from across the globe participated in IDEX 2015, with deals signed worth well over AED18.3 billion.
Now in its 24th year, the event is a leading forum for decision makers and the biggest global companies specialised in this vital sector. IDEX and NAVDEX provide an interactive platform for discussing and showcasing some of the latest defence and security technologies and solutions.
IDEX 2017 will be the largest ever thanks to the decision to hold the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) separately from IDEX - helping to increase exhibition space for current and new exhibitors. IDEX and NAVDEX will be hosted across ADNEC’s indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces – in excess of 133,000 square metres.

RECORD PARTICIPATION
IDEX 2017 will witness record participation from the largest international defence and security companies globally, in addition to hosting many national entities. NAVDEX 2017 will witness an increase in the number of participating companies as well as in the fleet of naval ships on display at ADNEC Marina.
Two specialised conferences draw participation of well-known experts and specialists, presenting research and sharing know-how on many regional and global defence and security issues and developments.
IDEX also offers exhibitors the opportunity to demonstrate equipment and craft. Daily choreographed displays will take place on the water and on the purpose-built demonstration track. Exhibitors may also host private demonstrations of vehicles and craft.
NAVDEX, the Maritime Security Area, features local and international exhibitors specialising in naval, maritime and coastal security technology, equipment and craft. At the dock edge, NAVDEX also features on-water exhibits, daily demonstrations and visiting navy vessels.
