WB Electronics highlights WARMATE and Fly Eye

 By:Deepa Narwani
WB Electronics is the leader of the WB Group, the largest private group in Poland carrying out national defence tasks. The Group is guided in its business by innovativeness and the creation of major technological breakthroughs. The Group offers a number of products in the field of special electronics – communication systems, fire control systems and unmanned aircraft systems.

The company is highlighting Fly Eye, a mini UAV designed and built by WB Electronics to provide advanced aerial reconnaissance capabilities to military and special operations forces. It is a reconnaissance tool for artillery and has a robust design with great deal of autonomy and precision in establishing private coordinates.

The UAV has also been tested in very severe conditions of war and has been used by Polish Forces in Afghanistan, as well as the Ukrainian Army.

The company is also focusing on WARMATE Loitering Munition System (Micro BBSP WARMATE), a fully autonomous solution that allows one to operate a flying war agent in real time. The choice of the system’s purpose in a given mission takes place by installing a suitable head for the air platform. WARMATE can be used as an independent system, moved or transported by a sub-division of land or Special Forces. The design of the system also allows its installation on the vehicle (car, KTO) and the integration of the Control and Steering Station and the Ground Data Terminal with vehicle installations.

Adam Bartosiewicz, Vice President, WB Electronics, says: “I think the beauty of these two systems is that they can work together. The integration of Fly Eye and WARMATE extends the range of reconnaissance and performs missions that go beyond radio-link range of WARMATE.”

“I must highlight that the WARMATE has found the quickest response from the market. After just the first introduction in an exhibition in London, we got a number of contracts and that is truly amazing,”
he concludes.
