AED 16.7b worth deals signed on first three days of Dubai Airshow 2023

Tawazun Council signed 8 deals, worth AED 5.184 billion, with local and international companies on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, on the third day of the Dubai Airshow2023.
 
This brings the total value of the deals announced so far to AED 16.784 billion for 28 deals.
 
The announcement was made during a press conference held by Tawazun Council’s official Spokesmen Zayed Saeed Al Meraikhi and Majed Ahmed Al Jaberi.
 
Zayed Saeed Al Meraikhi said, the number of contracts signed by Tawazun Council on behalf of the Ministry of Defence with local companies reached 5 contracts, totaling AED 5.1 billion on the third day of Dubai Airshow 2023. The biggest contract- worth AED 4.1 billion, was awarded to “Lahab Defense Systems”, an Edge company, to procure Ammunition for Aircraft. A contract worth AED 30 Million was signed with “AMMROC” company to provide Spare Parts and Repair for Aircrafts.
 
Other announced deals with local companies included a contract worth AED 15 million with “Houbara Defence and Security” company to procure Banshee Targets. A contract with “ADASI”, an Edge company, to procure Guided Munitions Systems at total value of AED 487 million, and the last contract was signed with “Emirates Advanced Research Technology Holding” (EARTH) for Purchasing and Supplying of Remote Drone Systems, Including Spare Parts, Logistical Support, and Armament Materials at a value of AED 560 million.
 
The international contracts announced today by Majed Al Jaberi, included 3 contracts at a total value of AED 84 million.
 
The first one with the French company, “MBDA”, worth AED 45 million to procure Thermal Torches and Accessories for Aircraft.
 
The other two signed contracts were an AED 11 million contract with the Italian company “LEONARDO S.p.A”, to provide Technical Support for VIP Aircraft and an AED 27.7 million contract with the French company” Thales” to provide Technical Support for the Secure Communication System.
 
Al Jaberi reiterated Tawazun Council’s mission of pursuing collaboration opportunities In Research Development and in advanced technologies that contribute to enabling defense sector by building strategic partnerships, while serving all relevant parties and stakeholders.
