Moog Awarded GMLRS Development Contract
Moog Australia, a subsidiary of Moog Inc., has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) to develop the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) control actuation system (CAS).
The contract positions Moog to support a growing portfolio of sovereign capability with Lockheed Martin Australia, the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA). This follows Moog’s investment to bring the guided weapons pathfinder program to the Moog Australia site. GMLRS is a combat-proven, precision-guided rocket deployable by HIMARS and M270 MLRS launchers.
The Moog team is preparing plans for a localised pilot production line for GMLRS CAS design. Moog will engage the Australian industry to produce key components for existing CAS designs and mitigate program risks.
