ISNR 2024 Sets the Bar High with 210 Exhibitors, 25,100 Visitors
The International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR 2024) wrapped up a successful run on May 23, boasting a record-breaking 210 exhibitors from 35 countries, a 14 per cent and six per cent increase respectively compared to 2022. During the three days of the exhibition, 25,128 visitors attended, an increase of 30 per cent compared to the previous edition of 19,493.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Interior, the event showcased the latest advancements in security solutions across a sprawling 24,038 square metre exhibition space, marking a 57 per cent increase in size from the previous edition.
Live demonstrations at the opening ceremony, including a captivating “Take Down” show, set the tone for three action-packed days filled with innovative technologies and critical discussions on security, policing, and crisis management.
With over a third of exhibitors hailing from the UAE (84 companies, a 34 per cent rise), ISNR 2024, held under the theme of “Accelerating Transformation in National Security Ecosystem,” cemented its position as a global platform for fostering advancements in national security and resilience.
Six Innovative Additions
Six new features highlighted the innovative potential of local talent for the first time this year. The ISNR Startup Zone, powered by the Khalifa Fund, showcased 15 startups debuting creative new tech and solutions.
Running alongside were the Interpol Policing Hub, Cyber Security Hub, ISNR Talks, Tech Talks, and the Delegation Lounge, hosting knowledge exchange and practical demonstrations.
Focusing on innovation in national security and policing realms, the inaugural ISNR Conference was another notable addition, exploring security innovation pathways. Key themes covered included global transformations, refined national security concepts, and updated security strategies and policies.
The ISNR Talks returned with interactive sessions covering topics such as cyber resilience, generative AI, digital intelligence, and predictive policing, among others.
A total of 30 sessions hosted 38 speakers. Another thought leadership forum was the “MOI Talks”, featuring eight special dialogue sessions with 22 speakers offering expertise on a range of critically important issues related to child safety.
Empowering Emirati Entrepreneurship
Khalifa Fund championed Emirati entrepreneurship at the event, showcasing four pioneering local businesses in cybersecurity. These companies, supported by the Fund, offer tailored security solutions and IT services, contributing to the UAE’s economic sectors. Alia Abdullah Al Mazrouei, CEO of Khalifa Fund, emphasised commitment to empowering Emirati entrepreneurs and providing them with platforms for business expansion and networking opportunities.
Rabdan Security and Defence Institute
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif launched the Rabdan Security and Defence Institute (RSDI), a think tank specialising in Middle Eastern security and defence. Led by Rabdan Academy, RSDI will provide analysis, research, and recommendations to policymakers. It will focus on areas like threat assessment, energy security, and terrorism. The initiative includes the Circles of Resilience youth platform and a partnership with the Middle East Institute.
ISNR’s Cutting EDGE
At ISNR 2024, EDGE Group showcased its dominance in non-lethal and secure solutions, particularly highlighting Lahab Defence’s non-lethal ammunition and the acquisition of Condor Non-Lethal Technologies, which bolstered EDGE’s global leadership. Lahab Defence presented innovations in stun grenades and low-velocity ammunitions, emphasising precision and minimal collateral damage. Katim introduced the Katim Gateway 9011, an advanced network encryptor essential for ultra-secure communication with post-quantum-resistant cryptographic capabilities. OryxLabs, focusing on cybersecurity, demonstrated solutions like Discovery for digital risk protection and DNS Firewall for proactive threat detection.
EDCC Fosters Collaboration
The Emirates Defense Companies Council (EDCC) actively participated in ISNR 2024. Through this engagement, the Council aimed to foster cooperation and knowledge exchange among its member companies.
It showcased advanced security and risk prevention solutions through member companies like SAAB, AvantGuard, and CAE.
Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of the EDCC, emphasised the importance of specialised exhibitions in highlighting the capabilities of council members, both local and international companies with headquarters in the Emirates. She highlighted the leading position of the exhibition, attracting major global companies in the security and protection field.
“EDCC’s presence reflects our commitment to enhancing knowledge exchange and advanced technology collaboration among members and their global counterparts,” Al Jaber stated.
She concluded by expressing gratitude to the ISNR 2024 organising committee and ADNEC.
UAE Security Showcase
Leading UAE companies showcased their latest innovations and security solutions at the show, contributing to sustainable technological transformation. The Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC) pavilion featured several companies, including Saab, Avantgarde, and CAE, displaying advanced systems and solutions in security and risk mitigation.
Hanady Bin Darwish, CEO of Avantgarde, emphasised the company’s commitment to providing advanced technology, especially in the security sector.
Wael Al Hashemi, Project Manager at Emirates Gateway Security Services (EGSS), highlighted EGSS’s latest security solutions, focusing on innovation and excellence.
Future-Proofing Security: ADCMC
The Emergencies, Crises, and Disasters Management Centre - Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) explored best practices and the latest innovations at ISNR. Its participation highlighted commitment to leveraging opportunities for knowledge exchange, learning about innovations, and developing partnerships.
ADCMC aligned with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command (GHQ) platform, focusing on advancing crisis management systems and achieving strategic priorities. It presented 2023-2025 strategic plan and initiatives.

MVP Tech, a Convergint company, presented cutting-edge security tech at the event. Partnering with industry leaders like Milestone, it showcased solutions addressing security challenges. From AI to Data Centres, its exhibits offered innovations for smart cities, aiding security professionals worldwide.
SSK’s ANPR Solutions
SSK Technologies presented advanced traffic monitoring solutions including the S1 speed camera and VIDAR 4th Generation Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera. The S1 offered mobile enforcement with precise ANPR capabilities, while VIDAR boasted high accuracy in vehicle identification and robust weatherproof design, ideal for Intelligent Transportation Systems. The Vigilante Einar ANPR camera offers user-friendly, plug-and-play functionality for smart parking and traffic monitoring.
Advanced Surveillance Innovations by Bosch
Bosch’s video management system (BVMS) ensures embedded resilience, maintaining operations even when multiple components fail. It offers an optimal user experience by seamlessly integrating Bosch cameras with BVMS, while also allowing the integration of third-party cameras, storage, and additional systems. The system is fully compatible with IT environments, ensuring secure installation and management. BVMS supports multiple cameras free of charge, requiring only the licence to begin operation.
Milestone’s Video Management
Milestone provides top-tier, open-platform video management solutions with its XProtect and Milestone Kite software, alongside NVR hardware for robust security system configurations. XProtect’s flexible architecture allows for customisation, scalability, and seamless updates to adapt to evolving needs. The platform ensures exceptional support and cybersecurity, delivering peace of mind across sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, education, and urban environments.
SAIMOS’ Offer for Situational Awareness
SAIMOS by Black Thunder Technology Solutions offers advanced Video Analytics solution for Situational Awareness and Operations Security. Integrating geo-data with various sources, it simplifies technology management and provides a holistic Common Operational Picture. SAIMOS intelligently evaluates alarms, spatially visualises them, and offers an advanced Human-Machine Interface for better decision-making.
Falcon Eye: Cyber Shield
Falcon Eye Cybersecurity unveiled its suite of solutions. Its offerings like CyberRiskGuard (Enterprise Risk Management) and SmartComply (Smart Compliance) aim to address information security needs and enhance national security. Highlighting its Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) solution, Falcon Eye emphasised its assistance in achieving certifications like ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), supported by SaaS-based (Software as a Service) tools and evidence management.
ATDI’s Real-Time Spectrum Monitoring
ATDI, a leader in spectrum monitoring solutions, showcased its latest Industrial Control Systems (ICS) monitoring- Software-Defined Radio Network (SDRN) Control RT at ISNR 2024, previously deployed for India’s Wireless Monitoring Organisation (WMO). The flexible network monitoring solution was the newest addition to ATDI’s product portfolio, meeting the evolving needs of real-time spectrum monitoring.
Houbara’s Tactical Robots
Houbara Defence & Security showcased tactical robots for countering evolving threats, critical for ensuring personnel safety and national security, particularly in dealing with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and incidents involving Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) materials. Among its solutions were QinetiQ’s TALON Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Robots, known for their longevity and reliability since their introduction in 2000. The company featured the SPUR Packable Robot, recognised for winning the U.S. Army’s Common Robotic System – Individual (CRS(I)) programme, providing support to dismounted forces.
Trikke’s High-Speed Electric Patrol Vehicle
Trikke, renowned for alternative transportation in law enforcement, debuted at the show. CEO Gildo Beleski highlighted the Positron 72V Elite, boasting speeds up to 44 mph and a 35-mile range. Trikke aims to expand globally, seeking partnerships and customisation opportunities. Its vehicles bridge the gap between cars and foot patrol, offering swift responses in congested areas.
IAG’s Armoured Innovations
International Armored Group (IAG) presented its armoured vehicles tailored for modern security and defence operations. These vehicles demonstrate exceptional safety, stability in rough terrains, and versatility in emergency situations. Notably, IAG unveiled the fully armoured Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series with B6 Level Armour, showcasing its innovative armouring design. The Jaws Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) stands out for its high mobility, lightweight construction, and robust features, ideal for transporting troops in high-risk regions. IAG also introduced its AWD Armoured Water Cannon Truck, equipped with advanced riot control and firefighting capabilities.
Presight’s Safety Showcase
Presight, a leader in big data analytics powered by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), showcased innovative solutions. CEO Thomas Pramotedham emphasised its commitment to advancing national security through technology.
A Diamond Sponsor and keynote contributor, Presight plays a pivotal role in shaping a safer tomorrow with generative AI. Its groundbreaking products include LifeSaver, supporting emergency services, the Law Enforcement Platform enhancing operations, the Vitruvian platform enabling seamless data integration, and the Digital Forensic Platform for forensic analysis.
DOGU Envisions Safer Future
DOGU, a pioneering Korean security solution provider specialising in Autonomous Security Robots (ASR), envisions a safer future where humans focus on unique tasks. Its suite of autonomous robotics solutions, adaptable for indoor and outdoor use, features modular and programmable designs tailored to diverse site needs.
These robots boast latest technology, including autonomous driving, environmental monitoring, and active safety event recognition.
Highlighted at the show was the iroi ASR for indoor patrols and the Patrover ASR for extreme outdoor environments, both equipped with navigation and monitoring capabilities.
Regula: Protecting Identities Digitally
In today’s digital world, ensuring the authenticity of identities and documents is crucial. Regula Forensic Science Systems leads the charge against fraud with innovative solutions like the Regula 70X7 document reader and the Regula 4205 document verification device.
Valeryia Fokina, Regula’s International Marketing Manager, highlighted the features of these tools. The Regula 4205D, designed for advanced document authentication, boasts a durable build and user-friendly interface. The Regula 70X7 offers automatic reading and verification of various identification documents, delivering high-quality scans under diverse lighting conditions.
Anselma-Industrie’s Heartbeat Detector
Anselma-Industrie unveiled its handheld heartbeat detector at the event, a patented technology for detecting human presence concealed in vehicles like trucks. Recognised for its innovation at the European Frontex Conference, it’s now deployed by Frontex and border forces across Europe. Used in border control to combat human trafficking and illegal migration, it offers simplicity, mobility, and rapid operation.
Al Fahad: Control & Clarity
With expertise in CCTV systems, smart home integration, access control, gate barriers, and intercom solutions, Al Fahad Security Solutions offers comprehensive security solutions for both residential and commercial clients. Its CCTV systems, renowned for high-definition surveillance, ensure clarity and precision in monitoring premises.
From installing CCTV systems in Ministry of Education schools to implementing access control at Umm Al-Quwain Hospital, the company showcased its dedication to safeguarding educational institutions and healthcare facilities.
CATIC Unveils Innovative Automation
China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) showcased its premier products at the forefront of innovation, including the JC-S2000 Intelligent Automatic Operation System (IAO), JC-M15 electric multi-rotor UAV, and UAV Hangar. The IAO integrates unmanned aerial vehicles, load support, and an automated hangar, bolstered by artificial intelligence technology to achieve L4-level automatic driving.
With industrial robots and machine vision, the hangar autonomously replaces batteries and loads, enabling IAO to conduct routine tasks and data collection without human intervention.
ATERMES Unveils Suricate
Atermes, a leading French high-tech equipment specialist, solidified its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with the inauguration of its new headquarters in the UAE. Walid Lahoud, Head of Operations MENA, Atermes, emphasised the significance of the new HQ, highlighting its role in fostering stronger relationships and providing personalised support to customers.
Atermes unveiled Suricate, its latest innovation in surveillance technology, at the exhibition. Suricate integrates optronics, advanced AI, and edge computing to deliver real-time monitoring with unmatched precision and efficiency.
IoT-AI Tactical Vests
Wearin’, a leader in wearable safety equipment powered by IoT, presented its AI-enabled tactical vest. Developed in partnership with France’s National Gendarmerie, the vest integrates an abnormal-situation detection system, alerting via IoT to the command centre.
The Wearin’ Brain, its ruggedised AI device, triggers manually or automatically for events like loss of verticality or impact. It also transmits personnel geolocation. The kit includes smart power management with an eight-hour battery life, enabling recharging via vehicle connection.
Drone Mastery: FEDS Showcase
FEDS Drone showcased its advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS), highlighting their revolutionary impact on aerial surveillance and mapping. The eBee Vision, developed by AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc., stands out for its high-resolution video imagery, 32x zoom, and thermal observation features. Weighing only 3.5 pounds, it offers portability and quick setup, with up to 90 minutes of flight time and wireless coverage of 12 miles.
InterTech’s Vision
Intertech Vision Middle East leads in video surveillance, control room technology, and software solutions across various sectors. Its Intertech Software Development division drives agile product development, exemplified by its offering, Ramsys, for remote event management with robust information security. Antrica provides reliable video over IP solutions.
Showcasing Barco’s security solutions, including Barco CTRL, Intertech emphasises its commitment to cybersecurity and privacy protection, underscored by recent ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
LINEV’s X-Ray Vigilance
LINEV Systems fortifies global security with advanced X-ray solutions, crucial in combating escalating threats in transportation hubs. Its DTP Vehicle scanner intercepts drug shipments by detecting concealed compartments, curbing associated social and economic consequences. Its X-ray cargo scanners ensures meticulous inspection for illicit goods in maritime and air transport, enhancing supply chain security.
Integrated into Middle Eastern and African transportation hubs, LINEV Systems’ technology curtails smuggling while facilitating legitimate trade. Employing dual-energy X-ray technology, its scanners penetrate complex concealments, revealing hidden contraband and weaponry.
Guardian in the Skies: ITOPP
ITOPP recently revealed a cutting-edge solution for countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs): a mobile high-power microwave system. This innovative device utilises directed energy to neutralise or destroy drone electronics, offering robust protection against single drones or drone swarms.
Compact and transportable, it seamlessly integrates into various carrier vehicles, ensuring flexibility in deployment, especially in remote areas.
Whelen’s Emergency Tech
Whelen Engineering presented its latest in emergency lighting and siren systems at the showcase. Featured prominently was the HHS Siren Series, known for its durability and versatility. Also on display was the CenCom Core system, offering improved serviceability and synchronisation features. The showcase highlighted Whelen’s commitment to innovation and reliability in emergency response technology. Its products boast dynamic variable intensity patterns and customisation options for optimal performance in emergency situations.
Axis Video Solutions
Axis Communications, renowned for its network video solutions, presented its latest innovations at the expo. Among them is the AXIS Q1656-DLE, integrating video and radar for enhanced intrusion protection. Featuring deep learning-powered object classification, it ensures precise detection 24/7. Axis also introduced the AXIS P1468-XLE, the first explosion-protected 4K camera for hazardous zones.
Innovating Safety: Hader
Hader Security introduced Avigilon’s latest access control and surveillance technologies, enhancing operational efficiency and safety. The collaboration offers tailored security solutions for unique needs, featuring AI-powered video surveillance and access control systems. Avigilon, part of Motorola Solutions’ ecosystem, provides comprehensive security solutions. Hader also showcased solutions from WEYTEC for control room optimisation, Microavia for UAE-made drone-in-a-box solutions, and Barrett Communications’ transceivers for reliable communication.
Cloud, Biometrics: Aligned Edges
Aligned Edges, a technology leader in Abu Dhabi, showcased its cloud and biometric solutions. A standout offering was the SolarWinds Platform, empowering organisations in their hybrid and multi-cloud operations. Aligned Edges also introduced SolarWinds Observability, providing holistic insights into application health and facilitating fast issue diagnosis.
Elevating Expectations: ISNR 2026
With a resounding close, ISNR 2024 cemented its position as a global hub for security innovation. From unveiling cutting-edge solutions like EDGE’s non-lethal stun grenades and OryxLabs’ proactive cyber defence to fostering knowledge exchange through high-level conferences, ISNR 2024 charted a course for a more secure future.
