HENSOLDT Supports European AI Imaging Project with Sensor Trials
HENSOLDT recently completed a second measurement campaign as part of the European research and development project STORE (Shared Database for Optronics image Recognition and Evaluation). The aim of the measurement campaign was to collect data for developing image evaluation algorithms, particularly in the field of AI.
Eight partners from the STORE consortium took part in the second measurement campaign in Kongsberg, Norway. The signature of land and air vehicles could be recorded in various operational scenarios in a snow-covered landscape.
HENSOLDT was on site with a technology demonstrator vehicle equipped with several sensor systems, including the SETAS 360° vision system and other camera systems for observation and reconnaissance at longer distances. As the next step, the recorded data will be analysed and used to build the database.
