U.S. Army Orders Next-generation Ballistic Helmet
Avon Protection recently confirmed that the Group received its first delivery order worth US$42.1 million from the U.S. Army under the Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System (NG IHPS) helmet contract.
The manufacturing is progressing to plan after completing rigorous testing, with initial deliveries commencing in the first half of FY23. These developments have positioned Avon Protection as the leading helmet supplier to the U.S. DOD.
Paul McDonald, Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am delighted that Avon Protection will continue to work with the U.S. Army to deliver the next generation Integration Head Protection System. This contract demonstrates our ongoing commitment to developing next-generation ballistic protection systems and further strengthens the medium-term outlook.”
