Patria Exhibits Modern Vehicles and Software Solutions

Patria recently attended DIMDEX in Doha, Qatar, where it showcased its wide range of products and services for Land, Navy, Intelligence and Surveillance with top-notch capabilities. The company’s service offering included a wide range of lifecycle support services for both Land vehicles and Aviation fleets.

Some of the products highlighted included Patria AMVXP 8x8, a modern, modular, and robust armoured wheeled vehicle providing superior firepower protection and mobility. The vehicle has fully digitalised vehicle data and control systems. Patria AMVXP provides the performance and features of a multi-role vehicle. It is well-suited for operations where mobility, survivability and firepower are essential.

Patria offers a large scale of AMVXP variants to meet the specific needs of its customers worldwide, from hot deserts to arctic conditions. The high payload of the vehicle with a large internal volume enables carrying all weapon systems, ammunition, and crew equipment according to mission needs. AMVXP’s chassis characteristics enable the use of any weapon system needed for engaging targets rapidly. The vehicle is ideal for integrating medium-calibre weapon systems, direct fire cannon systems up to 120 mm, Patria Nemo 120 mm turreted mortar system and anti-tank or anti-aircraft missile systems.

Another product in the spotlight was Patria Nemo, a turreted, lightweight and remote-controlled 120 mm mortar system with high mobility, protection, and accuracy. It is capable of both direct and indirect fire, even when the vehicle is moving. Patria Nemo features a modular design. Therefore, it guarantees maximum flexibility and capability for further upgrades for diverse requirements to meet the specific needs of modern warfare and threats in a changing environment. It can be used for self-defence and various indirect fire missions. It provides impressive fire support and rapid response with high crew protection – all in one.

Other highlights included the Patria SONAC DTS, an ASW Sonar system offering both active and passive modes of operation with two separate wet-end sub-systems, VDS and TAS, which can be used simultaneously. Also, Patria SONAC ACS acoustic mine sweep was exhibited, which is designed for sweeping influence mines with advanced acoustic triggering. Its compact, lightweight size is designed for use with unmanned craft.

 Close Cooperation with Industry
Furthermore, Patria’s life cycle services are provided together with local partners ensuring local industrial development and customer in-country readiness requirements. Customer proximity and local service delivery are ensured by Patria’s proven Strategic Partnership Concept that can be adapted to each country’s defence forces’ local requirements. The concept enables a trusted and close cooperation between industry and defence in peace, crisis, and ultimately during wartime. The concept is delivered to defence forces together with Patria’s local partners ensuring local industrial capability is created for the long term and making sure all country-specific readiness requirements are fulfilled.

Patria also shed light on some of its other solutions, including Patria MUSCL, a passive radar system providing resilient, covert and easily deployable air surveillance in standalone mode as well as in networked mode using multiple MUSCL stations. The system offers affordable area and point surveillance for various applications such as military air surveillance, border control, critical infrastructure protection and drone detection.

Patria ARIS and Patria ARIS-E, remotely operable ELINT systems for interception, recording and analysing the modern and increasingly complex signal environment, were also presented.

The company also focused on security solutions such as Patria CRAWLR, a cyber intelligence software product providing targeted and discrete information gathering from various sources, including websites, social media, and the dark web. It also shed light on Patria CANDL, which provides a single data link solution for communications requiring high reliability, such as UAS payload data and C2. CANDL enables air-to-air and air-to-ground ad hoc networking as well as relaying for BLOS capability, thus enabling capabilities such as MUMT (Manned Unmanned Teaming) and LVC (Live Virtual Constructive) training.

Patria has a long-standing presence in the Middle East region. Past and ongoing programmes include a wide range of vehicles and their support services, mortar systems, technology transfer programs and night vision devices. A company statement said that the future outlook for Patria in the region is to grow and prosper with local partners and customers.
