Rabdan Launches Security Training for Experts

Rabdan Academy, a global security, defence, emergency preparedness, and crisis management leader, has unveiled its Sustainable Security and Defence Professional Development Programme. The programme is designed for senior leaders, experts, and specialists in security and defence institutions across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The programme seeks to elevate the strategic security and defence priorities of the GCC countries, encompassing extremism, peacebuilding, stability, security, and defence workforce modernization.

The programme will also focus on GCC national defence priorities, human security, policing, justice strategies, economy, trade, and tourism, and is a unique combination of professional development courses focused on the security and defence sectors. It covers contemporary leadership in security and defence, combating global terrorism, and emergency management. Incident command, business continuity management, military attaché, security advisory, operational policing, and crime and community management are also the focus areas of this programme.

Announcing the programme, the President of Rabdan Academy, James Morse, highlighted the significance of this endeavour and emphasized its likely regional and global impact. He underscored the critical importance of safeguarding security apparatuses worldwide, stressing that the Academy’s design of this distinctive programme reflects a professional, integrative, and comprehensive approach to realizing this vision.

Morse expressed confidence in the programme’s ability to transform the security and defence capabilities in the GCC countries. He said that the participation of senior leaders and experts would foster the exchange of experience and expertise, and develop specialized security and defence capabilities. Equally importantly, it would build an alignment with the swift global and regional changes.

Rabdan Academy’s professional development programmes have global accreditations from Pearson BTEC in the United Kingdom, the Global Innovation Institute, the ILM, and the National Open College Network. The Academy actively participates in the European Foundation for Quality Management and remains committed to upholding the highest standards.

The Rabdan Academy provides learning in a dual approach, combining academic and vocational education under one roof, whilst recognising prior learning and experience and providing accredited and transferable credit from course to job. It is the world’s first higher education institution specialised in the SSDEC domain that achieves top “five-star” ratings in Teaching and Employability under the QS Stars University Rating System.
